We’re very happy that Kobe Municipality, in Japan, has joined the Sentilo community as a new supporter.
Kobe is the sixth-largest city in Japan and is the capital city of Hyōgo Prefecture. With a population around 1.5 million, the city is part of the Keihanshin metropolitan area along with Osaka and Kyoto.
Kobe representatives state, about joining the Sentilo Community: “We are glad to participate in the Sentilo community as supporters. Kobe is promoting city development by utilizing ICT, and we can learn a lot of things from the case of Sentilo of Barcelona City. Now, we are considering how we can utilize Sentilo for our city development, and we really appreciate if we continue to exchange information in each other.”
Kobe is considered one of the most smart cities in Asia, with programs intended to green their building stock or to transform its municipal water and waste management practices.
